Rebates

Appliance Rebates:

Federated offers $75 Energy Star rebates on refrigerators or freezers when the old one is recycled (a recycling receipt is required). Federated also offers a $25 Energy Star dehumidifier rebate. The Energy Star logo is given by the Department of Energy to manufacturers' products that are energy efficient. The rebates are issued as a credit on the member's electric bill. Limited rebate funds are available each year.

Heat Pump Rebates:

Federated provides a $500/ton ground source heat pump rebate. Ground source heat pumps are 400 percent efficient. Federated also offers a $600 rebate on ductless air source heat pumps. For air source heat pumps SEER2 ratings of 14.3 and HSPF2 of 5 or more: $1,000;  SEER2 of 16 or more and HSPF2 of 8 or larger: $1,500. Federated no longer offers rebates on central air conditioners. These rebates are offered while funds last.

C&I Rebates:

Federated offers farms and businesses rebates for installing energy-efficient lighting, retrofit NEMA premium efficiency electric motors and adjustable speed drives. Funding is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Before doing your project, contact Federated; ask for Jon to see if funding is still available for your project. Quality Installers:

Federated lists "Quality Installation" contractors. This means the installer has passed a certification test. If you prefer to work with a contractor not on the list, call or e-mail and we will explain to the contractor how to become certified.
