Teachers can apply for a Lignite Seminar in North Dakota this summer. Those accepted will attend a short course, which will net them two graduate credits and a better understanding of how coal powers the Midwest. Check out this link for more information.
Federated implemented a 6 percent rate increase in January. For the residential rate class this means a $4/month increase in the service charge and the 2.52 cents/kilowatt-hour from the PCA will be added to the base rate. Main meters are done in Jackson and Martin Counties. Crews are now wrapping up Dual Heat meter changes. Members with Dual Heat meters will receive phone calls notifying them when linemen are in the area.
