Operation Round Up Scholarships

2017 scholarships are now available. Deadline is April 21. Click here for an application. Applications will also be available in the March electric bills.

Federated awarded eight $700 scholarships to sons/daughters of Federated members who are high school seniors. It was the 20th year of Operation Round Up Scholarships. 2016 winners were:

  • Operation Round Up logoAndrea Hinkeldey, District 1
  • Matthew Stude, District 2
  • Hunter Heser, District 3
  • Logan Webber, District 4
  • Jayden Fritze, District 5
  • Mariah Jensen, District 6
  • At-Large: Maggie Post and Brandon Kluver
  • Through Operation Round Up, a $700 scholarship is awarded to Minnesota West Community & Technical College in Jackson, MN. Preference for the scholarship award goes to a Jackson County or Martin County student in the lineworker's program.


Basin Scholarships

Scholarship graphicFederated awards two $1,000 Basin/L&O scholarships to the son or daughter of two Federated members. Basin/L&O are wholesale power suppliers. The high school senior or college student with a year remaining must complete an application, essay and references. This winners for 2017 were Tanner Nordseth, Round Lake; and Sierra Williamson, Sherburn.
