April 16, 1940 (See Picture #3) - An Open House was conducted for Federated’s new headquarters at 310 Sherman Street, Jackson. It was built for $8,000.
- December 2, 1941 - Purchased Martin County Electric Company for $65,000, which connected Jackson and Martin Counties.
- 1940s - World War II causes a severe shortage of manpower. Work orders were approved on an animal unit basis for limited line construction.
